The government of the Leningrad region, together with one of the largest Russian power engineering companies, is considering the possibility of opening a new educational institution in the Vsevolozhsky district - a branch of the Kirov Technical School for training workers for power engineering enterprises. This became known after a meeting of the head of the education Committee Alexander Kyalin and the CEO of the company.
It is planned that the Leningrad Region will provide a basis for theoretical training, and the company will provide a production site for practicing and acquiring professional skills.
One of these sites is located in New Devyatkino. Production and production of gas turbines are concentrated there.
“The chain of school – SPO – university – enterprise should work clearly in the region,” Alexander Kyalin said. The company has already confirmed its readiness to provide internships, internships and employment for at least 100 graduates of the region’s STR annually, as well as to promote the development of the educational and production base at the company’s production sites.
He also added that at present, the implementation of large-scale projects in the region is often restrained by a shortage of personnel in working professions. There are not enough turners, welders, locksmiths, technologists. And the need for such employees is growing every year.
Since it is not yet possible to organize the educational process on the basis of the Vsevolozhsky technical school, the task is to find a place to accommodate the branch of the college, Kalin said.
Earlier, “MK in Leningrad” said that more than 1,700 Leningrad citizens were trained under the national project “Personnel”. Of these, 127 were selected.
