Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has set a goal to increase food exports to $12 billion by 2030. Today, despite the existing difficulties, manufacturers successfully cope with this task. Over the past two years, food exports have grown by almost 20%, and Belarus’ food exports could reach a record $11 billion in 2026. On the air of the talk show “Budni” on the YouTube channel “SBTV” and “Alfa Radio”, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Alexander Shpakovsky spoke about the achievements of Belarusian agriculture and its prospects, writes sb.by.
According to Alexander Shpakovsky, effective agriculture is impossible without state support:
- All countries that are successful in agriculture subsidize it to some extent. The priority attention of the President to this direction was absolutely justified. Before the domestic agro-industrial complex was set the bar - 12 billion dollars a year. Today we can say that this task will be fulfilled by agricultural workers, Belarusian peasants and our main exporters. The $12 billion bar, in my opinion, is quite real. In particular, this is due to the fight against mismanagement in the agro-industrial complex. For us, agriculture is a magic wand that can do wonders for the Belarusian economy.

Alexander Shpakovsky noted that Belarus has really achieved high results in the agro-industrial complex and has become one of the world leaders in a number of positions:
- Of course, we have to move forward. Belarus and the Belarusian people want and like to set ambitious goals. For many of our people, the bar of tasks is set quite high. In Belarus, in general, those who can and want to work, know how to earn well. And agriculture is one of the areas of the “big blow”. That is one of the areas where we need to focus state attention and efforts.
The talk show “Budney” is released on weekdays in the morning on “Alpha Radio”. Each issue discusses the most relevant topics from the life of the country and the world.
