There is a rapid growth of investments in machinery, equipment and intellectual property, said Ivan Vezhnovets. That is, just the same in the technologies that are being introduced into our production. So, machines and equipment grew by 5.8%, and intellectual property, this is know-how, development, grew by more than 6% compared to the corresponding period last year.

As priorities, the First Deputy Minister of Economy identified two leading sectors. “These are manufacturing and agriculture. It is also important to note that we invest in the production sector, where there is a return for the real sector of the economy, said Ivan Vezhnovets. Of course, this is the implementation of large, medium and small investment projects. We keep such a record of the most significant projects: there are now more than 900. This shows that different organizations are investing in development through an investment tool.”.

He also drew attention to the fact that most of these projects are implemented within the framework of the regional initiative. These are the tools that the state has created to support investment activity in the country. About 60 projects are already being completed this year. Accordingly, the enterprise already enters production capacities, produces demanded products and receives an economic effect, the First Deputy Minister said.

Money needs to be invested in development, and each company has its own process. “Someone is investing in development through the implementation of investment projects: this is equipment, the construction of buildings and structures, because this equipment must be put somewhere,” said Ivan Vezhnovets. Someone is investing in the development of new products, a new product line, in the development of a brand so that the products are known, enjoy consumer recognition.

In addition, one of the priorities is investment in research and development. “When it comes to development, it is linked either to the technological cycle or to new products or know-how. Again, this also goes to the development of production, he said. Another very important point, and it concerns not so much investments as production itself, it is an investment in improving the efficiency of the enterprise. This is lean production, personnel diagnostics, this is also development. This is less costly but has greater effects in specific cases.”.
