Farmer from Gryazinsky district will go on trial for sturgeon grant for 3 million rubles

The Gryazinsk interdistrict prosecutor’s office transferred to the court the case of a resident of the Gryazinsky district, who is accused of fraud on an especially large scale – we are talking about the theft of 3 million rubles of budget funds. This was reported in the Prosecutor’s office of the Lipetsk region.

The story looked beautiful on paper: the head of a commercial organization, together with his wife, an individual entrepreneur, issued a grant “Agrostrap” for the creation of a farm for the cultivation of sturgeon fish. Money from the regional budget went to the account of the wife of the accused, after which under fictitious contracts went to the accounts of his company. The scheme with the transfer of funds between their own structures allowed to create the appearance of mastering the grant.

However, the inspection showed that there is no farm for sturgeon breeding, activity is not conducted, and there are no conditions for its conduct. That is, the purpose for which the budget money was allocated remained on paper.

The case was in the production of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, after which the prosecutor's office sent him to court. Gryazinsky faces punishment up to real imprisonment for up to 10 years. For a man who pretends to be a farmer-entrepreneur, the prospect of being behind bars is the price he can pay for trying to cheat the state support system.
