Fake track number cost a resident of the Volgograd region in half a million rubles
A resident of Kamyshin lost more than half a million rubles when trying to buy an electric bike on the Internet.

In search of a vehicle, the 51-year-old man came across the website of an online store, contacted its representatives and transferred more than 500 thousand rubles to the specified details.
Immediately after receiving the funds, sellers began to delay the shipment, citing problems with the warehouse. After some time, the buyer was sent a track number, but an inspection in the transport company showed that the parcel never arrived there. Despite verbal promises to return the money, the money was never returned to the applicant.
Turning to the Intermunicipal Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Kamyshinsky”, the man wrote a statement about fraud. On this fact, the investigative unit opened a criminal case under part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Law enforcement officers once again urge citizens to be vigilant when shopping online. In order not to become a victim of fraud, it is necessary to carefully check the reputation of the seller, search for independent reviews on different platforms and use the services of a safe transaction. Transferring full advance payments to strangers to private accounts is extremely dangerous until the integrity of the transaction is documented.
