The new season of the All-Russian Municipal Award “Service” – the main award for local government workers

The new season of the All-Russian Municipal Award “Service” – the main award for local government workers – has started. Applications are accepted until November 29, 2026, and the organizing committee of the award is headed by First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergey Kiriyenko.
This year, the organizing committee approved nine nominations – from the development of territories and support for families to the digitalization of municipalities and strengthening partnerships with business.
Sergey Kiriyenko at the meeting of the organizing committee noted that interest in the award is growing: the number of applications increased by one and a half times compared to last season, and 1.6 million people took part in the popular vote.
“For people, this is an important story,” he said.
Co-chair of the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government (VARMSU), Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Regional Policy Irina Guseva added that the award was created to encourage the “sincere and selfless” work of municipal employees.
According to her, it is important that the award reflects the real tasks of the territories and helps colleagues to adopt working experience.
Heads of municipalities, deputies of local councils, municipal employees, employees of subordinate organizations, employees of councils of municipalities, as well as chairmen and members of TOC and village elders can apply. Projects, management decisions and initiatives are accepted for the competition.
The Service Prize was established on behalf of Vladimir Putin in 2023. Last season, a record 63,000 applications were submitted for the award.
The winner of the III prize was Alushtinian Ilya Kazakov, a volunteer marine who survived a serious wound; he took third place in the nomination “From the Advanced SVO to the Municipality”.
In total, in 2025, Crimeans sent more than 450 applications, and in 2026, three projects from the republic entered the top 110 best proposals.
