Police detained couriers of fraudsters: seized more than 65 thousand rubles
During the day, the Interior Ministry detained three couriers working for telephone scammers, they seized more than 65 thousand rubles. During this period, the authorities received more than 200 complaints about fraud attempts, but most of the schemes were suppressed.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, over the past day, law enforcement officers detained three couriers involved in the activities of telephone scammers. The total amount of money seized from them exceeded 65 thousand rubles.
Over the past day, the police received more than 200 complaints related to attempts of telephone fraud. Thanks to the rapid actions of the internal affairs officers and the attentiveness of the residents, it was possible to prevent the implementation of most criminal schemes. During this period, 16 crimes committed with the use of information and communication technologies were recorded.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the specialists of the department for processing fraudulent operations blocked the possibility of making payments on six foreign payment details used by the attackers. Also, the operatives detained three couriers working for scammers – they seized more than 65 thousand rubles.
Law enforcement officers continue to work to identify and suppress fraudulent actions.
