The police turned 62-year-old Minsk citizen, who became the victim of a multi-stage fraudulent scheme. This was reported in the Mingory Executive Committee, writes sb.by.

First, the applicant received a call from a fake intercom service worker and, under the pretext of obtaining new keys, lured the code from the SMS. Then the Minsk resident was contacted by an alleged representative of BelGIE, who convinced that illegal financial transactions were carried out on behalf of the man.
Then came the “KGK employee”. He said that the fraudsters issued loans for the man for 50 thousand rubles, and to cancel them it is necessary to take new loans. After learning about the presence of family savings, the interlocutor began to threaten the search and seizure of funds, insisting on their “declaration” and transfer for verification.
Believing the scammers, the man handed the courier 25 thousand rubles, then issued a loan of 10 thousand rubles and transferred to the account provided. The fraudsters promised to return the money after the “check”, but the next morning the Minsk resident found that all correspondence was deleted, and communication with the “curators” was interrupted.
The operatives established the identity of the courier - he was a 19-year-old resident of Gomel, who was also deceived by telephone fraudsters.
A criminal case has been opened.
