Interior Ministry: three couriers of telephone fraudsters detained

Over the past day, the police detained three couriers working in the interests of telephone fraudsters. This was reported in the interior Ministry, writes sb.by.

The police received more than 400 reports of phone calls scammers. Most of the atrocities have stopped. 36 crimes committed using information and communication technologies were registered.

The department of the organization of processing fraudulent transactions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated the blocking of three phishing Internet resources (fake trading platforms, banks or services indistinguishable from real ones), blocked the possibility of payments to 10 foreign payment details used by attackers, and suspended spending operations on 31 accounts.

The operatives detained three couriers who worked in the interests of scammers. According to the method of committing illegal acts, vishing on behalf of officials (telephone fraud) and buying goods on the Internet are leading. Then there are thefts using social networks and trading on financial exchanges, the ministry said.
