On the fact of a fatal accident in the Vilei district opened a criminal case

At the scene of a fatal accident in the Vilei district, investigators are working - a criminal case has been opened on the fact of an accident. This information was provided to the Investigative Committee.

According to preliminary investigation, the accident occurred today at about 20:40. An 18-year-old girl, who did not have the right to drive a vehicle, was driving a Volkswagen Polo on the R28 highway (Minsk – Molodechno – Naroch). Not far from the agro-town of Luban, she lost control of the car, drove into the oncoming traffic lane and collided head-on with a Mitsubishi Outlander car driven by a 33-year-old man.

The tragic consequences of the accident: the driver of the car and two of its passengers (they were 19 and 20 years old) died at the scene. The driver of the SUV received injuries of varying severity - he was hospitalized.

Currently, the accident site is inspected by the investigative team. It includes employees of the criminalistic department of the UCK in the Minsk region; GKSE specialists and representatives of the traffic police are also involved in the work. Traces are being recorded and the scene is inspected, then a number of examinations are planned.

The Vileysky district department of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 317 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus - for violating traffic rules or the rules of transport operation, which negligently led to the death of two or more people.
