Almost 3 million rubles a week gave cyber criminals Kostromachi

According to law enforcement agencies, as of November 7, the following dynamics of crimes committed using information and telecommunication technologies was recorded.

Since the beginning of the year, 390 residents of the region have become victims of Internet criminals, and seven have been injured over the past week.

Total material damage exceeded 374.8 million rubles (an increase for the week amounted to 2.7 million rubles).

The record of the week belongs to a 78-year-old resident of the Soligalich district. Having succumbed to the trick of “testing the money for authenticity”, she gave the courier of scammers 700 thousand rubles – all her savings.

The police warn: the legends of scammers are changing (from hacking "State Services" to declaring property), but the goal remains the same - your money.
