The young people who died in the fall of a car in the river stopped communicating on Friday

The prosecutor’s office of Novocheboksarsk took control of the investigation into the circumstances of the deaths of people in a car found in the Civil River near the Novocheboksary industrial zone.

According to preliminary data, on the evening of November 6, 2026, the company of local residents left by car. Soon, contact with them was lost, and relatives contacted the police.

When inspecting the scene, traces of the car were found leading to the cliff of the river.

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Search and Rescue Service removed the bodies of five dead from the water.

On the fact of the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence). The circumstances of the tragedy are being established.
