Five people died when a car fell into the river Civil

In Chuvashia, search work was completed on the Civil River in the area of the industrial zone of Novocheboksarsk, where a passenger car Lada-Niva moved this morning. As a result of the incident, five people were killed in the cabin of the car.

The incident was reported to the operational duty shift of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Chuvashia at 06:05. To the scene sent 16 specialists and six units of special equipment. The search operation involved divers of the Chuvash Republican Search and Rescue Service.

The bodies of three dead were first recovered from the river. The search for two more ended at 14:30, when rescuers found and recovered their bodies from the water.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, among the dead are two 18-year-old girls and three young people. Two of them were 22 years old.

Law enforcement officers work at the scene, investigative measures are carried out, the circumstances and causes of the tragedy are established.
