One of the escorts injured in the attack of a convict on a train in Vladikavkaz, died in hospital. This was reported by the FSIN of Russia.

The attack occurred on October 2 on a train that was traveling from Vladikavkaz to Adler. On the territory of Kabardino-Balkaria, the convict attacked the convoy employees and took possession of the service weapon of one of them.

One convoy was killed on the spot and several other staff members were injured. One of them died in a medical facility.

The FSIN expressed condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased employee and promised to provide them with the necessary assistance.

Investigators opened a criminal case.
