The press service of the Moscow Railways (MZD, a branch of Russian Railways) reported that a special fire train was sent to assist in extinguishing the fire near the capital's Ochakovo station.
Representatives of the Ministry of Railways specified that on the sixth of November, this composition was put forward to support emergency services in eliminating the fire near the Ochakovo I station.
On board this train are tanks containing 122 tons of water, as well as a stock of foaming agent with a volume of 3.6 tons.
Earlier it was reported that the area of fire in the west of the capital, where on Friday evening a warehouse of scrap metal caught fire, increased to 800 square meters.
According to the publication “MK”, the fire occurred at 19:40 in the open area on General Dorokhov Avenue. The fire engulfed warehoused waste and rubber tires. Periodic claps at the scene significantly complicate the extinguishing process, which is why fire crews have to retreat to a safe distance.
