In the store Gomel worked the system “Lightning”: the employee extinguished the fire before the arrival of rescuers

In Gomel on the street Ilyich there was a fire in the store, which was quickly eliminated by the forces of an employee before the arrival of rescuers. This was reported in the EMERCOM of Belarus.

The incident began with the fact that the emergency notification system “Lightning” transmitted an alarm.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire occurred on the first floor of the building in the room where repair work was carried out. The reason was the short circuit of the lighting device.

The employee of the store independently coped with the fire using a powder fire extinguisher. As a result of the incident, three lighting fixtures and exhibition goods were damaged, but the evacuation of visitors was not required.

Arrived units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations checked the room and confirmed the absence of risks of re-ignition. There are no victims, the causes of the incident are established by specialists.
