48 thousand rubles was taken out of the house 80-year-old Minsk woman, who became a victim of telephone fraudsters. The attackers first introduced themselves as employees of the district administration, and then as employees of the DFR, convincing the pensioner that a terrorist organization was allegedly financed on her behalf. This sb.by told the head of the Lenin police Department of Minsk Alexander Aleshkevich.

The Minsk woman in the messenger was contacted allegedly by employees of the district administration and reported the need to replace the insurance card and recalculation of pensions. The woman was also informed about the need to come in person on the appointed day to draw up all the necessary documents, and to confirm her identity was asked to dictate the code from the SMS.

Later, the pensioner called allegedly DFR employees. They stated that a terrorist organization was being financed on her behalf, which could lead to criminal proceedings against the woman and a search of the apartment and the money seized.

Terrified, the Minsk woman agreed to follow the instructions of the interlocutors. To save cash from possible withdrawal, she was asked to "declar" savings. The woman put 48 thousand rubles in the mailbox, from where the money was soon taken. After that, she realized that she was the victim of fraudsters, and turned to the police.

- The operatives identified the courier. It turned out to be a 19-year-old student who himself had previously fallen for the trick of fraudsters. Because of the fake threat of criminal prosecution, the young man began to follow their instructions, Alexander Aleshkevich said.

A criminal case has been opened for fraud. Now the police identify the remaining participants in the criminal scheme.

The Leninsky police department reminds: employees of state bodies and banks do not ask to report codes from SMS and do not send couriers for cash. If the interlocutor is in a hurry, pressing or threatening criminal liability, the conversation should be stopped immediately. In case of doubt, you must independently contact the organization by official number or contact the police by phone 102. Minsk believed the false worker of “Belposhta” and lost 10 thousand
