In Novosibirsk, ex-fighter PMC “Wagner” got away with a fine for beating his wife with a baby in his arms

The conflict broke out when Evgeny, 48, returned home in a state of heavy alcohol intoxication. The man began to aggressively interrogate his 32-year-old wife, and then turned to assault. Ksenia tried to escape and ran into the entrance with her young son in her arms, but her husband caught up with her in the corridor and continued to strike her on the head and body.

As a result of the attack, a young woman who suffered a stroke several years ago suffered a closed traumatic brain injury, a brain injury and internal hemorrhage. Also, doctors recorded her rib fractures and numerous hematomas. The young child also did not escape the blows of the aggressor - doctors diagnosed him with multiple bruises of the head.

The identity of the attacker deserves special attention: Yevgeny previously served a sentence in a correctional colony for causing death by negligence. From there he enlisted in PMC Wagner. During participation in hostilities, the man received two concussions, after which he returned home and began to abuse alcohol regularly.

Arriving at the scene, police officers detained the brawler, but three days later he was released. Law enforcement officers drew up an administrative protocol against him under Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (petty hooliganism). According to Ksenia, the prosecutor’s office told her that the one-and-a-half-year-old child, due to his age, simply “does not understand ill-treatment”, and the harm to the health of the woman herself is allegedly not proven.

Now frightened Xenia and her son are hiding from their parents. The woman is in a state of profound shock at the injustice and inaction of the authorities. She openly states that she fears another attack, because her husband knows where to look for her. The victim intends to go to the end and publicize the story in order to get law enforcement agencies to fully investigate and initiate a criminal case.
