Nine sections are almost ready: what else is left to do on the roads of Ulyanovsk

Ulyanovsk is approaching the completion of the overhaul of nine sections of the road network. The main activities of the national project “Infrastructure for Life” have already been completed. The city authorities are also beginning to form road repair plans for 2027.

The list of updated objects included the streets of Spasskaya, Gimov, Iron Division, Kirov and Inzenskaya, Akademik Filatov Avenue and Aircraft Builders, Novy Venets Boulevard, as well as the road surface of the Imperial Bridge.

One of the renovated sites was inspected by the head of Ulyanovsk Alexander Boldakin. We are talking about Inzenskaya Street on the segment from Lokomotivnaya Street to Gaia Avenue.

Here, experts updated the roadway, and also expanded and put in order the sidewalks. Changes in pedestrian infrastructure were made taking into account the appeals of local residents.

Special attention was paid to the intersection of highways with tramways. The interrail space was updated at the intersections of Locomotive and Inzenskaya streets, as well as Inzenskaya and Shchorsa.

In addition, road markings were applied on the renovated section, the necessary signs were installed and lighting of pedestrian crossings was equipped.

However, the work is not yet fully completed. In particular, stop pavilions will be installed.

According to the city authorities, the repairs made it possible to improve the transport situation on Inzenskaya Street and reduce traffic congestion during peak hours.

After inspecting the object, they also decided to further put in order the congresses to residential buildings and to green the adjacent territory.

In parallel, preparations for the next road season begin in Ulyanovsk. Alexander Boldakin instructed to form a list of sites that are planned to be repaired in 2027.

Among the priorities for next year, the head of the city outlined the continuation of work on the replacement of tram rails.
