Shui prosecutors approve indictment against three local residents
The Shui prosecutor’s office approved the indictment against three local residents. Depending on the role of each, they are charged under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud on an especially large scale) and Part 2 of Art. 173.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal formation of a legal entity).
In 2016, two residents with the participation of fake persons created an organization allegedly providing heat supply services in one of the apartment buildings of the Shui district.
From 2020 to 2023, the defendants, including the accountant of the company, systematically submitted documents to the relevant departments with deliberately false information about the volume of heated areas and the amount of thermal energy supplied.
On the basis of these false data, the attackers illegally received subsidies from the regional budget to compensate for lost income totaling more than 11.5 million rubles.
The criminal case was sent for consideration on the merits to the Shui City Court.
