VTB seized assets of influential Kazakh family in England

The High Court of England and Wales lifted the worldwide arrest from the assets of Kazakhstani businessman Timur Kuanyshev and his wife Alfia Askar Abulkhair, imposed at the request of VTB, Vedomosti learned. Due to the sanctions, the bank was never able to deposit £500,000 of collateral into the court account.
