The Central Bank called the timing of the launch of AI assistant for complex financial products
The Central Bank, together with the market, has completed testing of an AI assistant, which analyzes and explains in simple language the content of contracts for financial products. Next, the regulator plans to recommend its implementation from January 1

The Bank of Russia, together with the pilot banks (a total of 8 organizations), has completed testing of an AI assistant for analyzing complex financial products and plans to recommend it for use from January 1, 2027. This was told by Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Mikhail Mamuta on the air of the program “Markets.Itogi” on Radio RBC and RBC TV channel.
“Since we tested the AI assistant on banking products and insurance [companies], respectively, these were deposits, credit cards, mortgages and OSAGO options.” The test results were recognized by the participants as satisfactory, we [Centrobank] also agree with this, because it really turns out to be a pretty good squeeze of what you need to pay attention to when signing the contract, Mamuta said.
At the next stage, the Central Bank plans to put this system into commercial operation through a recommendation for the market on its use.
We plan that from January 1, 2027, this will be a recommendation regime. Now there is just the deployment of infrastructure in the industrial circuit – it takes time, plus the market also needs to adjust its systems. But in my opinion, since the usefulness of the system is shown by extensive user testing – it was conducted on several tens of thousands of customers during the experiment – it makes sense to fix it at the level of either standards or perhaps regulatory.
Mamuta added that when the recommendation regime ends, “it will probably need to be fixed [in regulation] at least at the level of standards.”.
According to the vision of the Central Bank, the AI assistant should be built into all sales modes – both online and offline. “We are talking about the fact that the methodology of this AI assistant was built by the Bank of Russia and agreed with market participants,” he added, stressing that the logic is that Russians for a better choice could compare products of different banks within a single methodology.
In October 2025, on the air of Radio RBC, Mamuta pointed out that the AI assistant should be “equidistant from all market participants”, which will ensure its independence. Speaking about the importance of the tool, he noted that clients in the financial market often faced a situation where they did not understand the terms of the contract, because of which they received not the result they originally expected.
