Index of the Moscow Exchange, shares of Sovcomflot and dividends of Ciana: digest
The Russian stock market closed on Thursday with a fall of 1.4%. Shares of Sovcomflot rose amid reports of a possible easing of US sanctions. Qian Board of Directors may publish a recommendation on dividend payments

Mobiri Index
The index of the Moscow Exchange (IMOEX) following the results of the main trading session on Wednesday, October 15, decreased by 1.44%, to 2386.81 points. The IMOEX2 index, which shows the dynamics of the market including in the evening and morning sessions, ended the day in minus by 0.91%, to 2391.72 points.
The stock market declined amid geopolitical factors, said Natalia Milchakova, a leading analyst at Freedom Global. One of them was the resumption of attacks by Ukrainian UAVs on Russian refineries, including the Ryazan refinery owned by Rosneft (although the extent of damage was not reported), the expert explained.
The market is also apparently upset by unrealized expectations of the resumption of negotiations between Russia, Ukraine and the United States, the analyst added. The visit of the market-favorite special envoy of US President Donald Trump Steve Whitkoff and the son-in-law of the American leader Jared Kushner to Moscow has been postponed indefinitely. In addition, some Western media reports that the United States is not yet ready to make a decision on unlocking part of Russian assets, although Trump, according to media sources, had such plans before.
In addition, the market is already beginning to prepare for the preservation of the key rate of the Central Bank of Russia at the October meeting, as well as possibly for the absence of changes on it until the end of the year.
During the current session, the Moscow Exchange index will continue to trade in the range of 2300-2400 points, Dmitry Vishnevsky, an analyst at Digital Broker, expects.
On the morning of Friday, October 16, IMOEX2, according to 8:06 MSK, grows by 0.16% to the close of evening trading on October 15, to 2395.73 points.
Sovcomflot shares
On Thursday, October 14, the company's shares at the peak added 5.4%, reaching е88.99. Papers closed up 4.5 percent.
Papers of the FES also grew, at a peak of 2.7%, to е63.95.
According to Elena Kozhukhova, an analyst at Veles Capital, the shares of Sovcomflot and FVMP received support from reports of a possible easing of US sanctions against the shadow fleet. In addition, Sovcomflot at the end of August reported net profit for the first half of 2026 under IFRS in the amount of ди21.4 billion against a loss a year earlier, confirming plans to pay annual dividends at the level of at least 50% of adjusted annual profit under IFRS.
The bullish scenario of further growth of Sovcomflot shares is likely to be realized with a further improvement in the geopolitical background and, in particular, a softening of the terms of Russian energy supplies abroad. In a more negative scenario, the proximity of important technical values may contribute to fixing profits in Sovcomflot securities in anticipation of new significant drivers, the expert predicts.
Cian's dividend
The Board of Directors of Qian may publish a recommendation on dividends for 9 months of 2026. Earlier, the company reported that it plans to pay dividends of at least ,30 per share until the end of 2026.
According to the dividend policy, the company seeks to allocate 60-100% of adjusted IFRS net income to dividends annually.
Alexander Golovtsov, head of the analytical department of PSB, expects “moderately high” payments from the company at the level of 6-7%.
Finam analyst Dmitry Lozovoy believes that given the strong financial results and profitability growth, we expect a dividend closer to ,32 per share, which corresponds to a yield of about 5% to the current price.
“According to our assessment, such a payment corresponds to approximately 100% of adjusted net profit for the nine months of 2026 less the dividend already paid for the first quarter of 2026,” the expert said
