Astra Group shares fall amid report of hacking
Hackers hacked into the VMmanager server management system belonging to Astra Group, several hosting providers reported

Shares of Astra Group on Tuesday, October 20, fell by 3.94%, at a minimum the price of securities reached е212.3. This is evidenced by the trading data of the Moscow Exchange at 11:20 MSK.
The quotes reacted to the message of RBC that several hosting providers warned about the hacking of the VMmanager server management system belonging to Astra Group.
A representative of Astra Group told RBC that the company is aware of an incident related to a vulnerability in one of the VMmanager assemblies. “We are conducting a review and are in contact with customers,” he said, declining to name who was affected by the attack “because it is about the security of specific infrastructures and customers operating the platform.”.
“This is standard practice: disclosing such details before completion of updates for all customers creates additional risks,” the representative explained. According to him, the fixes have already been issued, the company recommended that customers install them, and also takes other “necessary measures to eliminate the causes and consequences of the attack.”.
