“Lighthouse”-2026: “Malika” and the monster of Schrödinger
Historians will know whether this is a temporary recession or the first year of a protracted crisis, but for now we can state the obvious. The fourth “Lighthouse” turned out to be a record number of participants – 11 names in the competition – and the weakest in its short but bright history. The best films are rightly noted by the jury headed by the animator director Konstantin Bronzit (albeit with some decisions and I want to argue). But I must admit – not a single event of the level of “Holiday”, “Summer Will End”, “Picture of Friendships” and other hits of “The Lighthouse” of past years this time did not happen.
