Belarus, Kazakhstan discuss cooperation in agriculture, technology and food

During a working visit to the Pavlodar region, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexei Bogdanov discussed with the leadership of the region the development of cooperation in the agro-industrial complex, prospects for the supply of Belarusian equipment and food, and also took part in the opening of a shopping facility for Belarusian goods. The key event of the program was an official meeting with the Akim of Pavlodar region Asain Baykhanov. The parties exchanged information on the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, noting the expediency of intensifying dialogue on a wide range of issues.

Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of the signed documents on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between the Akimat of the region and the Belarusian regions.

Among the promising directions are the project of replacing Pavlodar tram park with the participation of Belkommunmash, updating elevator equipment, supplying food, agricultural and quarrying equipment. An agreement was reached on organizing mutual visits of delegations for the practical implementation of these projects.

The economic block of the visit also hosted the grand opening of the Belarusian Products No. 1, Belarus is mine in Pavlodar. The Ambassador, together with the founder of the company "BELOSTAN.KZ" Andrey Krugovykh, got acquainted with the activities of the trading facility and discussed the prospects for increasing sales of Belarusian food products in the region.

On the same day, the diplomat visited the trade and distribution company RPV-Trade, specializing in food wholesale. The parties agreed to intensify joint work to expand the range of Belarusian goods supplied to the Pavlodar region.

As part of the development of the agrarian dialogue, Alexei Bogdanov, together with First Deputy Akim of Pavlodar region Serik Batyrguzhinov, took part in the seminar “Kazakhstan – Belarus: integrated solutions in the system of agricultural development”.

During the dialogue with the heads of agricultural enterprises of the region, issues of cooperation in the fields of crop production and livestock, fodder production, increasing productivity in meat and dairy cattle breeding were considered. The participants of the event were presented with advanced Belarusian technologies that can be used by enterprises of the region to improve the efficiency of agricultural production. Speakers from the Belarusian side were specialists of Zubragro LLP, Belarusian Tyre LLP and Akbars Profsnab LLP.

The cultural and spiritual program of the visit included a visit to the Annunciation Cathedral in Pavlodar. In an interview with the rector of the Council and the chairman of the Pavlodar regional ethno-cultural association “Belarus” Lyubov Bognat, the interlocutors exchanged information about current cultural and educational projects aimed at preserving traditional spiritual values. The ambassador left an entry in the book of honored guests of the cathedral.
