Belarus and Oman rely on cooperation in education, science and art

Today, on September 16, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov met with an Omani delegation led by Assistant Vice-Rector of Sultan Qaboos University for International Cooperation, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum of Oman Her Highness Mona Bint Fahad Al Saeed. The meeting, held within the framework of the visit of the Omani delegation to Belarus in order to expand bilateral educational and cultural cooperation, was also attended by the Secretary General of the National Museum of Oman, Jamal al-Musawi.

The interlocutors expressed mutual interest in strengthening interuniversity cooperation, noting the significant potential of cooperation in this area and identifying ways and mechanisms for its further development. The parties discussed the implementation of joint projects between higher educational institutions of Belarus and Oman.

We also analyzed the schedule of cultural events for 2026-2027 in Belarus and Oman, considering the possibility of organizing exhibitions and performances of creative teams on a mutual basis.

The interlocutors also touched upon a number of issues of political interaction between the two countries.

Her Highness Mona bint Fahad Al Saeed congratulated the Belarusian side on the upcoming holiday – National Unity Day.
