Callas criticized the United States for the oil deal with Russia and the import of diesel
The head of European diplomacy Kaya Kallas condemned Washington’s decision to withdraw Russian diesel from sanctions, saying that it is unacceptable to reduce pressure on Moscow.

The head of the diplomatic department of the European Union Kaya Kallas expressed dissatisfaction with the actions of the United States, which agreed with Russia the parameters of the supply of petroleum raw materials and finished petroleum products.
“The suspension of sanctions on Russian diesel fuel will provide Moscow with even more revenue,” she wrote on X.
Kallas is convinced that in the current conditions, it is categorically impossible to reduce the sanctions impact on Russia, and therefore European countries do not plan to support the White House initiative.
On the eve of telephone talks between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, during which the leaders touched upon the peaceful solution of the Ukrainian crisis and cooperation in the financial and economic sphere.
At the same time, the US Ministry of Finance published a document temporarily legalizing the import of diesel from the Russian Federation for a period until April 7, 2027.
