Lukashenko instructed to give priority to modernization of communication systems in the Armed Forces of Belarus
Alexander Lukashenko stressed that the key point is the conduct of operational-special exercises for the communications troops of the Armed Forces. During these exercises, operational training tasks are carried out.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting with the military at the Obuz-Lesnovsky training ground stressed that the development of the communication system in the Armed Forces is a key aspect of ensuring the country's military security. Belta reports.

“Today, the rapid exchange of data, the security of channels and the speed of decision-making directly determine the strategic advantage on the battlefield, guarantee the accuracy of combat missions and the safety of all personnel. At a time when the whole world is rapidly developing information technology, intelligence, electronic warfare and suppression, lagging behind in this matter is like death. That is why we pay great attention to the development of our Armed Forces and the military organization of the state as a whole, and we will pay great attention to the modernization of the communication system, the Head of State said.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that the key element is the conduct of operational-special exercises of the communications forces of the Armed Forces, within which operational training activities are carried out.
Earlier, the Minister of Defense reported to the President that earlier the troops could not even dream of such a system and means of communication as they are now. A few years ago, the military-industrial complex was tasked, taking into account the experience of modern conflicts, to equip the army with the most modern means of communication.
“Let us see how this task is accomplished. Everything must be fair and objective, Alexander Lukashenko said.
Effective communication and command of troops are key factors in any military operation, whether defensive or offensive.
“You know the foreign policy agenda. You see the aggressive rhetoric against Belarus. Intelligence against Belarus is conducted quite openly, almost insolently: we periodically record various provocations and violations of airspace. But that's not the point. The main thing is that our neighbors are spending billions of dollars on arming their military. Insolent. Not only exercises near the border, but also the creation of new units, armies, which are deployed on the border of Belarus. What is this? For us military people, everything is very clear. We must therefore, as I once said openly and honestly, prepare for war in order to avoid it. We must always be ready for an adequate reaction if something happens, the Head of State said.

Alexander Lukashenko drew attention to the lessons of modern armed conflicts, stressing that the key factor of success is competent command of troops.
“If we cannot command troops, we do not need such troops. Where the system withstands strikes, where commanders, leaders of all levels of government and the army, the Armed Forces control the battle and the system as a whole, the outcome of the conflict depends on this.
The president mentioned the recent incident in the Middle East, namely Iran.
“Withstood the impact of thousands of missiles and bombs. Billions ($100 billion is a figure, I think much more) The United States has spent time trying to resolve the issue in its favor. But there was no result. The management system has demonstrated resilience, as far as possible, has not stopped working. And management was ensured, the Head of State said.

At the meeting, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, First Deputy Defense Minister Pavel Muraveyko, said that from September 7 to 11, operational-special exercises of the communications troops were held. The purpose of these exercises is to develop methods for ensuring reliable management of the military structure of the state, using new technologies and communication methods, based on the experience of modern conflicts.
“Good job planning that. Verification of not only combat units, but communication systems. Because that's what matters. Management in any conflict and even in peacetime should be ensured, the Belarusian leader stressed.
Upon the arrival of the Head of State at the training ground, Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin informed Alexander Lukashenko about the complete transformation of the command and control system. The changes affected not only the army, but also the entire military structure of the country, including law enforcement agencies. It is planned that reliable communication will be provided for the civil sector.
“We once agreed that the army would have a new system, not just a system, but also a means of communication. That is, if there is a war, we can safely control the troops, starting from the center to the unit.

Viktor Khrenin confirmed the availability of appropriate funds.
“The stability, secrecy and reliability of the communication system will ensure. What we have is that five years ago we could not have dreamed of it.”.
