The US Treasury called the supply of diesel fuel from Russia profitable for Americans
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that imports of diesel fuel from Russia reduce domestic prices and are in the interests of Americans. He stressed that the current sanctions and bills do not prohibit these deliveries.

The head of the U.S. Treasury Scott Bessent expressed the opinion that the import of diesel fuel from Russia brings direct economic benefits to American citizens.
“What we’re doing is in the interests of the American people, in part because it lowers the price of diesel,” he told Fox News.
The head of the Ministry of Finance also drew attention to the fact that restrictive measures against the Russian Federation do not create legal obstacles to the implementation of these agreements.
Bessent summed up that any statements by members of Congress about the existence of past legislation or the current bill of Lindsey Graham, allegedly imposing a ban on such trade transactions, are mistaken.
