Belarus is ready to restore relations with Poland. Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov said this on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel, sb.by reports.

Answering the question whether relations between Belarus and Poland will become warmer after the meeting of foreign ministers in New York, Maxim Ryzhenkov said he hoped for this.
“The conversation was very substantive, very rich in discussion of issues — not some mutual claims. There were no mutual claims at all, because both we and the Poles understand that we need to move forward. It is very good that such a meeting took place. She was timely. The issues we discussed are, in principle, very relevant for our countries, the minister said.
According to him, the Polish society also appreciated the fact of the meeting of the two ministers. The vast majority of citizens and experts, judging by the comments on social networks, were pleased with the political signals from both sides, which suggest that relations between the countries are beginning to normalize.
“Everyone is waiting for this: society is waiting for this in Poland, and society is waiting for this in Belarus,” said Maxim Ryzhenkov.
At the same time, he recalled that it was not Belarus that first imposed sanctions or closed border crossings, stopping cooperation between law enforcement agencies on border protection.
We are ready to restore relations, trade cooperation, more active cooperation at the border. The Polish side already sees this, and there is nothing to blame us for, the diplomat said.
