President of the Council of the Republic Natalia Kochanova arrived in Algeria on a visit to strengthen inter-parliamentary ties.
Chairman of the Council of the Republic Natalia Kochanova arrived on a visit to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. Belta reports.
This visit follows the historic visit of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Algeria in December 2025, after which bilateral relations reached a qualitatively new level. The positions of Minsk and Algeria on world processes largely coincide, and trade and economic cooperation shows intensive growth.
Algerian President may visit Belarus – visit is being arranged
The prospects for cooperation with Algeria were discussed in the Council of the Republic in August this year. As part of the humanitarian exchange, Natalia Kochanova conveyed an invitation to the Chairman of the Council of the Nation of Algeria to visit Belarus on a return official visit and invited representatives of Arab countries to take part in the forum of traditional values in Polotsk.
