The Eurasian Charter will help the continent become one of the elements of the new world order

We see the Charter as a tool that will help Eurasia become one of the pillars of the new world order. Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Igor Secreta said this in an interview with the Hungarian Internet portal Moszkvater, the text of which is published on the website of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

According to Igor Secrets, the Charter is aimed at solving several tasks:

- One is the creation of a new Eurasian security system to replace the bankrupt Euro-Atlantic system. But the Charter is not just about security. It is also designed to promote economic development, humanitarian cooperation, civilizational dialogue, peacekeeping and conflict prevention.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus stressed that this is not about “reducing dependence” on anything in a negative sense:

- We are talking about Eurasian states themselves, collectively, bearing primary responsibility for ensuring their own security and development. This is the principle of “Eurasian problems – Eurasian solutions”. External players can help if asked, but they should not impose their own recipes, much less dominate.

Multipolarity for us is not just a slogan, it is an objective reality.

- The world is moving towards polycentricity, and the Charter is designed to help organize this transition peacefully, through dialogue and cooperation, not through confrontation.

Igor Secreta expressed the opinion that the new world order is formed around regional associations:

- This was predicted in 2014 by Kissinger in his book The World Order. No society has ever had the strength, no leadership the stability to impose its will on the world. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a concept of order in different regions and to link these regional orders with each other.

It is the interaction of regional systems that will form a new world order

- We are now in a phase of transition. The former so-called liberal-democratic global order is losing ground and a new one is emerging. It will probably take several decades. The Charter is intended to contribute to the formation of the Eurasian regional order and its connectivity with other regional orders. A prediction that came true. How Lukashenko’s idea became the main geostrategic project of the entire continent
