Trump urged Zelensky to stop attacks on Russian fuel infrastructure
Against this background, the average cost of diesel fuel in the United States for the first time in history reached $ 6 per gallon

US President Donald Trump during his visit to Ireland appealed to Vladimir Zelensky with a call to stop attacks on the Russian fuel infrastructure. This is reported by RIA “Novosti”.
Zelensky needs to do one thing: stop disabling diesel production in Russia. It creates a diesel shortage. This has nothing to do with the Middle East — it’s because of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, he said.
According to Trump, he has already discussed this issue with the Ukrainian politician. Earlier, the head of the US Department of Energy Chris Wright confirmed that the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Russian refineries have become one of the factors reducing the global supply of diesel fuel, which directly affected global prices.
Against this background, the average cost of diesel fuel in the United States for the first time in history reached the mark of six dollars per gallon (about 3.8 liters).
On July 30, the Russian government imposed a temporary ban on the export of gasoline, diesel and other fuels until January 31, 2027. In addition, on September 1, the Russian Armed Forces were instructed to launch large-scale retaliatory strikes on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
