The Government considered the issues of reforming the electronic procurement mechanism
At the meeting, the Prime Minister discussed the reform of public procurement: electronic platforms, the fight against intermediaries and quality control.

Belarus discussed the reform of the procurement system at a working meeting with Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, the press service of the Government reports.
The topic of the meeting was the organization of an electronic procurement mechanism, the relevant work was presented by RUE “National Export Support Center” and OJSC “Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange”, which are the main operators of electronic trading platforms.
Oleksandr Turchin outlined a range of key issues: how the reform is being implemented to eliminate unjustified mediation and protect the domestic manufacturer, how accessible the system is for customers and how its analytical module works.
The Prime Minister stressed that buyers should have full information about transactions with similar goods and their value, which requires the construction of dashboards. The topic of unjustified mediation and the quality of products supplied was separately touched upon. The Head of Government noted that often companies supply goods of the wrong quality, which is stated in the competitive requirements, so Gosstandart should make proposals to strengthen control over conformity of characteristics. Following the meeting, it is planned to identify next steps to simplify the existing system, taking into account the development of new technologies for trade organization.
