Following the first day of the summit, the BRICS countries adopted the Delhi Declaration of the XVIII Summit. The document reflects the agreed approaches of the states to the current geopolitical situation, existing challenges and threats, promising areas of joint work, as well as a number of conflict issues. Separately, it is worth noting the statement of Chinese President Xi Jinping: he said that in 2027 China will assume the presidency of the BRICS and will become a platform for the XIX summit of the association.
