We must protect every millimeter of our land. Lukashenko on the goals of the Belarusian army
The Belarusian president noted that the Belarusian side is not going to attack anyone, but it is necessary to protect the country and destroy security.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the military at the Obuz-Lesnovsky training ground stressed that Belarus does not plan aggression against other countries, but must guarantee its security. Belta reports.
- 1.Lukashenko instructed to give priority to modernization of communication systems in the Armed Forces of Belarus
“Some people here are trying to reproach us that tomorrow we are going to attack someone. We are not going to attack anyone, we are pragmatic. We understand that if we attack someone (say, from our neighbors) it is like death. We cannot win the conflict with our “monsters” and perimeter states. Why start a war, if it’s absolutely frank? But to protect a centimeter, a millimeter of our land, our population, to ensure security, we must. This is our task, whatever the cost. Even if it costs us our lives. We must prepare for this and prepare for it, Alexander Lukashenko said.
During the discussion of the modernization of the communication system in the army and the conduct of operational-special exercises of the communications troops of the Armed Forces, this issue was raised.
“We will conduct these exercises. We also have the Ministry of Internal Affairs under operational control, and units are deployed in the Armed Forces, some of them according to wartime norms, for example, an artillery brigade. We will continue this process (training troops and improving the military organization of the state). – Editor’s note, – stressed the Head of State.
And let neither the Poles, nor the Lithuanians, nor the Latvians, nor the Ukrainians think that we will attack them tomorrow and therefore conduct exercises. No, we are preparing for any war to avoid it – a simple and understandable formula.
He stressed the importance of communication systems for the military.
“We’re shooting and moving pretty well. But in order to shoot and move, you need certain commands, which in the event of a conflict will be transmitted through means of communication. Therefore, we want to see, in addition to machine guns, assault rifles, pistols, missiles, tanks and other armored vehicles, how we will manage this complex. This requires a communication system, so that the state as a whole is governed in the event of a conflict, and the means of this communication. This is to make it clear to those who will hear us, why we started all this, the Head of State said.
At the meeting, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, First Deputy Defense Minister Pavel Muraveyko, said that from September 7 to 11, operational-special exercises of the communications troops were held. Their goal is to develop methods for ensuring stable management of the country’s military forces using the latest approaches and communication technologies based on the analysis of modern conflicts.
