The meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers was held on September 23 on the sidelines of the session of the UN General Assembly in New York. The event was chaired by the Russian side with the participation of CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov, BelTA reports.

The foreign ministers discussed the preparation of the CSTO Collective Security Council meeting, the priorities of the Russian chairmanship in the organization, as well as the initiative of Belarus and Russia to develop the Eurasian Charter for Diversity and Multipolarity in the XXI century.

- The effectiveness of the CSTO as a tool to ensure stability and security in the Eurasian space was noted, the CSTO press service added.
