The Department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Ulyanovsk region conducts systematic control over the impact of physical factors of non-ionizing nature - noise, vibration, electromagnetic fields, microclimate and illumination - on public health. This work is carried out within the framework of state supervision and socio-hygienic monitoring.
Among all the physical factors, noise is the biggest concern. Its sources are most often equipment of industrial enterprises, ventilation and air conditioning systems in commercial and catering facilities (including those built-in or attached to residential buildings), sound reinforcement equipment, engineering and plumbing equipment in buildings, as well as transport. It is the noise that receives the vast majority of complaints from citizens.
For 9 months of 2026, the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor received 134 complaints about the adverse effects of physical factors - 131 of them related to increased noise. In response to the violations, the agency issued 54 warnings to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs about the inadmissibility of non-compliance with sanitary requirements.
If residents are faced with adverse effects of physical factors (including excessive noise), they can contact Rospotrebnadzor. A request may be made:
