A 17-year-old resident of Saransk will be tried for murder

In Mordovia, an investigation into the case of a 17-year-old boy from Saransk, accused of attempted murder, which was committed with particular cruelty, has been completed. According to the prosecutor's office of the republic, a potential victim could be a 16-year-old girl who knows the accused. He faces up to seven and a half years in prison.

It is reported that the incident occurred on April 6, 2026 on Victory Street. There was a quarrel between the young people, as a result of which the guy grabbed his acquaintance by the throat and began to strangle her. After that, he inflicted multiple blows on her with his hands and feet.

The torturer stopped his actions when he saw people passing by, fearing that he would be detained. He fled the scene of the crime, and the girl managed to help thanks to timely medical care, as noted in the prosecutor's office.

The materials relating to this criminal case were transferred for consideration to the Proletarsky District Court.
