3.6 million rubles for catching dogs in Donskoy: how to spend money and what awaits animals

The administration of the Tula city of Donskoy announced a tender for the provision of services for the treatment of animals without owners. The cost of the contract is 3.6 million rubles.

Under the contract, the contractor will have to organize humane capture of animals with mandatory video recording of the process, and then deliver them to the shelter. For each pet, a full range of measures is provided: quarantine, veterinary examination, treatment if necessary, vaccination, sterilization or castration, as well as marking with chipping.

The fate of the animals will be determined individually. Healthy and non-aggressive individuals after all the necessary procedures will be returned to their former habitat. Animals with aggressive behavior will be kept under constant supervision in the shelter. Euthanasia is allowed only on the conclusion of a veterinarian - only in cases where the animal experiences incurable suffering.

Special attention in the contract is paid to accounting: for each animal taken, it is necessary to get a registration card, and all data must be entered into the general register.

The catching work is planned to be completed by the end of 2026, and the activities related to keeping animals in the shelter and carrying out the necessary procedures are planned to be completed by June 2027.
