Pavel Chukhrai – 80 years old: the director of “The Thief” and “Driver for Faith” celebrates the anniversary
October 14, people’s artist of the Russian Federation Pavel Chukhrai turns 80 years old. During his career, he worked as a director, screenwriter and cameraman. His most famous films are the drama Thief (1997), nominated for Oscars and Golden Globes, and Driver for Faith (2004), which received the main prize of Kinotavr. Other works include People in the Ocean, The Canary Cage, The Key, and Cold Tango. Chukhrai was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Russian Federation, the Order of Honor, two Nika awards for The Thief, as well as the awards of the Venice Film Festival and Kinotavr.
