The presentation of the memorial will take place next spring in honor of the 90th anniversary of the release of The Hobbit and the 50th anniversary of the book The Silmarillion, published after Tolkien's death.

The monument will be a 2.5-meter-high wooden panel that will depict the Amalion tree, a personal symbol invented by Tolkien that he often depicted in illustrations.
