He stole more than 550 million rubles and went into custody until the end of the year

The Pskov City Court considered the investigator’s petition to elect a preventive measure in the form of detention against a resident of the Moscow region accused of committing four crimes under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud on an especially large scale). About this “MK in Pskov” told in the press service of the courts of the Pskov region.

According to the investigation, the official of the limited liability company concluded contracts and contracts with municipalities and state institutions for the implementation of works and construction of secondary educational schools in Pskov, the village of Linovo of the Pytalovsky district, Sebezh, as well as buildings for the organization of the space of the historical park in Pskov. Not intending to fulfill the obligations assumed under the contracts within the established time limits and realizing the fact that the company received advances from the regional budget of the Pskov region, the accused turned in his favor unused advances totaling more than 550 million rubles.

In the court session, the man objected to the detention and asked to choose house arrest or prohibition of certain actions, indicating that he did not intend to hide from the investigation and court, as well as otherwise obstruct the investigation.

Based on the results of consideration of the petition, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention in custody for a period up to December 31, 2026 inclusive.
