Reuters learned that puzzled the investigation in the hacking of refrigerators in France
French investigators are puzzled by the lack of statements of Khakre groups, which would take responsibility for the hacking of refrigeration units in hundreds of supermarkets as a result of a cyber attack, Reuters writes, citing a source.

Typically, hacker groups tend to quickly declare their involvement or demand money.
Investigators have not yet revealed exactly how the refrigeration units were breached. Cyber security experts told Reuters that while all the evidence indicates that the reason was a simple trick, which was implemented due to non-compliance with the requirements for the implementation of updates.
“This is about basic cyber hygiene. If you make a mistake, you get a smelly porridge from thawed food, explained Ken Munro, a partner at the British cybersecurity company Pen Test Partners. He compared attackers’ use of simple vulnerabilities to hacking an open door and suggested that hackers might just be having fun.
If it were a state, why would only a fraction of French refrigerators be affected? On the Internet you can find refrigerators from many other countries. The lack of redemption claims is indicative of a lack of understanding of the potential commercial losses that refrigerator owners may suffer, Munro added.
