Italy's visa center in Russia warned of technical failures

The website and recording system of the Italian visa center Almaviva in Russia are experiencing failures due to problems in the data centers of the partner for cloud hosting. This is stated in the message on the website of the visa center.

“Dear applicants, due to a malfunction in the data centers of our cloud hosting partner, there may be malfunctions in the operation of our website and recording system. Visa application statuses may also be displayed with a delay, it said.

Almaviva said technicians were working on troubleshooting and apologized for the inconvenience.

Earlier, the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT) reported that from October 12, Russia suspended online registration for submitting documents for obtaining British visas due to technical work at the visa operator VFS Global. Applicants were temporarily prevented from making appointments, modifying existing records and downloading documents through the website.
