In Russian Railways reminded, when there will be new seat-card cars

New seat-card cars of increased size will appear in 2027, said Deputy head of Russian Railways Ivan Kolesnikov at the forum “Public transport 2026”. His words are reported by the press service of the company.

We are talking about a flat car of size T. The first compartment and staff cars in this size came to the line in December 2025 as part of the “Red Arrow” message Moscow – St. Petersburg, the press service of Russian Railways reported.

Platzcard cars of the new format the company showed in November 2025. The main innovations include the increase in capacity from 54 to 58 passenger seats, as well as the modernization of berths. The dimensions of the transverse shelves increased by 14 cm in length and 3 cm in width, and the side shelves by 10 cm in length and 4 cm in width.

The beds will be equipped with a curtain, a table, a personal lamp, 220V and USB sockets and an individual duct. In addition, the infrastructure of the car is complemented by two bathrooms and a separate shower cabin.

Then Kolesnikov said that the seat-card cars of size T are expected to run on the most popular destinations.
