In the Krasnoyarsk region plan to reduce the number of officials by 15%, said the Governor of the region Mikhail Kotyukov.

“We need to expand the use of modern services, simplify internal processes, get rid of unnecessary procedures and bureaucracy,” Kotyukov said.

The governor explained the decision by the need to update the public administration system. According to him, some of the functions of the authorities are gradually transitioning to digital format, so the state should become more compact and efficient.

Kotyukov instructed the Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory to submit proposals to reduce the number of employees of state bodies by 15%.

In June, the Governor of the Samara region Vyacheslav Fedorishchev in an interview with RBC announced plans to reduce the staff of regional civil servants by 20%, or 800 people, until the end of 2026.
