The head of MMT said that “we live in a situation of dislike”
The head of MAMT Andrey Borisov on the air of Radio RBC called the modern era “a situation of dislike”. According to him, people are in dire need of intimacy, and musical theater helps to satisfy the “basic need” of love
The current time is characterized by a "situation of dislike" - people experience an acute need for emotional intimacy, said the Tamantsev program. As a result, on Radio RBC, the general director of the Moscow Academic Musical Theater named after K.S. Stanislavsky and V.I. Nemirovich-Danchenko (MAMT) Andrey Borisov.
Musical theatre remains one of the institutions capable of satisfying the existential demand.
You and I live in a very difficult time, a time when there is no love. We live in a situation of dislike. We all need her. We're all looking for that love. Most of the music in the theatre is about love. This is a basic need - after eating, drinking, Borisov said.
As an example of the complexity of human feelings, Borisov cited the classic tragedy Romeo and Juliet. He noted that this work is not limited to the theme of youthful love. In his interpretation, the production also explores the phenomenon of parental love – its ability to be both creative and light, and “demonized”, capable of turning into sin at certain moments.
