Putin awarded the Order of Friendship to the head of the Pushkin Museum Pronicheva

Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts) Ekaterina Pronicheva with the Order of Friendship. The decree of the head of state is posted on the official publication website of legal acts.

Pronicheva was awarded "for merits in the field of culture and art, many years of fruitful activity," the document says.

By the same decree, the president assigned the status of People’s Artist of Russia Askar Abdrazakov, a singer-artist of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater. In addition, Putin awarded the medal “For Services to the Fatherland I degree” to historian Elena Malysheva, who heads the National Center for Historical Memory under the President of the Russian Federation in Moscow.

Pronicheva took the post of head of the Pushkin Museum in January 2026. From 2015 to 2018, she was the general director of VDNKh, from 2018 to 2022 she headed the Moscow Tourism Committee. In 2022, Pronicheva was appointed general director of the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Reserve.
